To Whom it May Concern:
It is mv pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Jenny Hynes as a special education teacher. I was honored to work with Jennifer Hynes during the spring semester of the 2022 school year at San Rafael High School. Ms, Hynes stepped into a challenging position halfway through the school year as an intern teacher and did an excellent job.
Ms. Hynes has several strengths I'd like to share. She is highly collaborative. In the first few weeks, she reached out to her team to get immersed in the San Rafael high art program's practices. She met with the department lead on numerous occasions to get feedback on the best ways to support her English Language Learners. After receiving her students' Individualized Education Plans, she reached out to the caseworkers to gather information about her students learning styles. Ms. Hynes has worked diligently to build rapport with her students. She values relationship-building with her students. She checks in with students individually and tries to connect with them in their home language.
In conclusion, I would recommend Ms. Hynes. If her performance taking over an art class halfway through the year as an intern teacher at San Rafael High School is any indication of how she'd perform in the role as a special education teacher, Ms. Hynes will be an excellent addition to your site. If you have any questions feel free to contact me by phone or email anytime.

To whom it may concern,
Please consider this an open letter of recommendation for Jennifer Hynes. I have had the pleasure of working with Jennifer in the capacity of Intern Teacher in the field of fine arts at San Rafael High School. She began her experience in becoming an arts educator long before being admitted to the teacher credentialing program at Sonoma State University. Jennifer graduated from Cal State Hayward with a BA in Painting and Sculpture as well as fulfilling her Post Baccalaureate at The Art Institute, San Francisco, in printmaking and painting. Jennifer has involved herself in the arts community since 2018, volunteering in an art classroom through Youth In Arts, collaborating with artists around the world in “The Global Art Project '' and student teaching at Davidson Middle School as well as Terra Linda High School.
Since January of 2022, Jennifer has taught 2 Drawing and Painting classes and 1 Photography class at San Rafael High School full time. Her enthusiasm for art and teaching as well as her drive for creative curriculum planning is evident in not only the atmosphere in her classroom but also in the work that is being produced by her students. Jennifer’s relationship with the students is one of both a genuine concern for the growth of each individual student and the personal commitment of student understanding in the arts. She is young and in touch with modern trends as well as talented in her subject field which helps inspire enthusiasm in her students interests for the arts. Her instruction is clear, confident, and substantiated by developing fair expectations/criteria, and diverse grading methods for her students.
Jennifer has developed unit plans in alignment with both her curriculum courses and departmental goals in Art 1 and Photography. She has also participated in many of our staff meetings, departmental planning meetings, rubric development sessions, and been a professional artist in her own right since 2012 showing in galleries throughout the Bay Area.
I recommend Jennifer Hynes with the highest confidence knowing that she will bring all her knowledge and expertise to the classroom and to your school.
Sincerely,
Johanna Herrera

Dear Members of the Selection Committee:
As Ms. Jennifer Hynes University Supervisor and EDSS 444 Content Art Course Instructor, I had the pleasure to witness her leadership skills as a Teacher Candidate during the 2021 Fall Semester at Sonoma State University.
From the first classroom observation, I already knew that Jennifer would be a wonderful Art Teacher. She stood out as one who was extremely interested in and engaged with her students, always with a genuine response and welcoming demeanor.
Jennifer knew her content exceptionally well and planned organized lessons with step-by-step instructions. She utilized available materials to make lessons interesting and build technical skills. Demonstrations were easy to follow and accessible to all learners. She referenced artists, techniques, and the Visual Arts standards. Jennifer paid attention to the whole class and to students who needed individual guidance. Her genuine calming personality, flexibility, and compassion are pluses that work magic on students. They feel supported by her and their confidence soars because she gives unconditional encouragement.
As a parent of a Deaf and Hard of Hearing child, Jennifer understands how to effectively communicate student’s needs with colleagues as well as parents.
I recommend Ms. Jennifer Hynes for any art position. She will be an asset to any school as she knows how to navigate the classroom dynamics and work with all students to enhance their learning.
Sincerely yours,
Mary Gail Stablein
